Shipping Overview
In most cases we ship through UPS, FedEx and USPS. For most items we offer the typical range of shipping options including ground (3 to 5 business days) to next day. Please note that the shipping transit time count does not include the shipping day, weekends or holidays. Many of our products are made to order, contain perishables, have alcoholic contents or have special shipping restrictions so some shipping options may not be available for all purchases. Depending on the item or items ordered, it may take several days for your order to ship. The time period it takes to prepare an item for shipment can be found on the product detail page under the term Earliest Date. So for example if the product you are interested in order says the following:

Example 1 - Stock Items
Earliest Date:
Roses Ship Same Day Mon thru Fri Order by Noon EST
This would mean if you placed your order before noon Monday through Friday and it is not a major holiday your order will be shipped the same day. So you would need to add the transit time in for the shipping method you selected to determine the day your order would actually be delivered.

Example 2 - Made to Order
Earliest Date:
Made to Order Signs Ship in 4 to 8 Bus Days
In this case the item you are ordering is being made from scratch to your specifications. So it can take between 4 to 8 business days (Monday through Friday excluding holidays) to make the item and actually turn it over to the shipper. Then you would need to add the transit time in for the shipping method you selected to determine the day your order would be delivered.

Example 3 - Same Day Hand Delivery
Earliest Date:
Deliver Today Order by Noon in Recipient Time Zone
If you place your order before noon in the delivery location on Monday through Saturday (no holidays) your order will be delivered the same day in most cases. Same Day Deliveries are not available in all areas. Some smaller towns require a day to prepare the order. Gifts containing wine, champagne or beer require an adult signature. If there is an issue with you order we will attempt to contact you as soon as we learn of a delay.

Multiple Shipping Addresses
You can save as many ship to addresses as you would like in your My Account section of our website. Once you register, our system will automatically remember your previous "Ship To Addresses" to save you time when you order again. If you prefer, for large orders, you can use our handy excel order form. Please place your holiday or large orders early so that we can provide you the outstanding service you deserve. Credit Cards Charged When Order is Processed
Our product lines have different turnaround times. All orders are charged when the order is processed and the fulfillment process is started. In the case of custom items which includes wood signs, personalized gifts and toy boxes there is a delay between the time an order is processed and when it is shipped. This time frame is posted on the product page for each specific item. If you choose to purchase one of these made to order items which we refer to as custom items you are agreeing to immediate payment before work starts on your order.

How to Count Shipping Days
Ship day, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays do not count as transit days.

Some Products Cannot Be "Bundled" for Shipping.
Due to the nature of our unique relationship with our artist suppliers, each item that you purchase from Arttowngifts.com is shipped from participating Artist's Studios direct to you. If your order includes purchases from several different artisans, your items will be shipped separately by each artist. As a result they may have different arrival dates and employ different shipping methods or requirements. In any case they will arrive in different containers. Most gift baskets are boxed in separate boxes and can not be bundled. There is a fixed shipping charge per gift basket.

Gift Cards and Certificates
Gift cards ship separately, free of charge, via Standard Shipping and usually arrive within 5-8 business days. Two Business Day delivery is available for a $10 shipping fee. Virtual Gift Cards are e-mailed within 4 hours of credit approval.

Tracking Your Order
You will receive a confirmation e-mail confirming your order. When your item actually ships, you will receive an additional e-mail with the tracking number and a link to track your specific order. At this time we do not offer tracking for Same Day Delivery Items. We will contact you only if there is a problem with your order.

We do not offer tracking status by phone. It is very easy to track your shipment with the tracking number. Simply copy and paste the tracking number we send to you by email into a Google search bar. Then click on the result returned. This will take you to the shipper's tracking site where they will provide the status of your package. You can also track your packages, review your orders, print invoices, and more, from your My Account page at any time but only if you registered (added a password)when you made your purchase. Registering after the fact will not give you access to previous orders.

Order Progress
Also please note at this time our software does not show order progress in the My Account section. So for example your order may show pending for several days when it is actually progressing through the system particularly in the case of personalized items and custom signs.

Proof of Delivery
The shippers' records are considered definitive proof of delivery.

Delivery Location within a Business, Hospital, Apartment Complex or Facility
Some companies restrict and manage deliveries to certain locations such as a loading dock or central receiving area within a business or facility. Arttowngifts.com will not be responsible for any delays these restrictions cause.

Shipping Time Guarantees
Arttowngifts.com passes on the shipping guarantees offered by UPS, USPS and FedEx. There are no shipping time guarantees for Ground shipping. In addition shippers do not honor guarantees when the delays are deemed beyond their control such as weather, accidents and similar circumstances. Additionally shippers suspend all guarantees during Christmas and other peak holiday seasons. Shipping guarantees start the day after the package is shipped. Please check the product page for details regarding our shipping deadlines as to when each product will be shipped.

Incorrect Address Fees
Please make certain to provide an accurate address. The shipping companies charge as much as $30 for making an address correction. We are forced to pass these charges on to our customer. In addition we find that almost all lost packages begin with an address issue. If your package is lost due to an incorrect address, the shipping companies will not honor any replacement guarantees. Even something seemingly insignificant such as a wrong zip code or apartment number can mean the difference between the package arriving in a timely manner or being lost. We can not reroute packages after they have been shipped.

Unable to Make Delivery
Shippers such as Federal Express and UPS normally make 3 delivery attempts before returning or destroying a package unless the recipient makes special arrangements to hold the package for pickup or re-delivery. If they are unable to make delivery in a timely manner, the package will be returned to our fulfillment department. You will be issued a store credit for 50% of the product cost less the return shipping charge and any other charges passed on by the shipper. The original shipping charges will not be refunded. No refunds are available for shipments to Military Addresses such as an APO or a FPO. There are no refunds for perishable items. The shipper normally destroys perishable packages at their distribution center. If an address change is made to route the package to another address it will result in the address correction fee mentioned above. In regards to proof of delivery attempts the shippers' records are considered definitive proof. Please note we can not reroute packages containing wine, champagne or beer.

Latest Update Regarding Missed Deliveries - UPS Access Points
UPS has partnered with neighborhood businesses to create Access Points. These businesses will hold a package for pick up that is not deliverable to its destination. In some cases one delivery attempt will be made to the delivery address. If the recipient is not available a note will be left identifying that the package will be available for pick up at a specified Access Point location. The location will hold the package for several days awaiting pick up and if the package is not picked up, it will be returned to us. This delivery method has been implemented due to the number of packages that are reported lost or stolen from delivery points such as homes that are close to sidewalks, high foot traffic areas, in apartment complexes and other highly visible location. UPS feels that the package would be safer at an Access Point location awaiting pick up. Moving the package to an Access Point location is fully at the discretion of the UPS driver because they are the responsible parties for your packages delivery. We do not have control over this aspect of the delivery process.

Free Shipping on Selected Items
Enjoy free shipping on selected items throughout the store. If the items in your order qualify for Free Shipping and you meet the requirements as indicated, your order ships FREE!

Shipping Damage
If your purchase is defective or appears to have been damaged in transit, please contact us immediately by completing our contact form so that we can have the package inspected. Please retain the shipping box and all packaging materials. If you have a cell phone or camera please take photos of the damaged packaging and product damage.Melted chocolate does not qualify for shipping damage. These items are shipped at your own risk.

Lost or Damaged Packages
We do not offer refunds for lost or damaged packages. If approved by the shipper, we will reship the original order using the original shipping method or if requested at a lesser priced shipping method. We will assist in filing a claim with the shipper. Once the shipper approves the claim we will reship the item again. Filing a claim will require some assistance by the intended recipient. Please let us know immediately if your package is not received. Shippers only offer tracer and claims for a very short period. The shipper's determinations are final. Please remember that we are offering to file a shipping claim as service; however, the contract is between you and the shipper.

Shipments to Military Addresses
There are no guarantees for orders shipped to military addresses such as APO or FBOs including how long it will take for the package to arrive or if the package will actually be delivered to the recipient. You place these orders at your own risk. We will provide proof that the package was shipped and do everything we can to insure delivery. To avoid problems with these orders, please make certain that the address you provide is correct and that the person to whom you are shipping actually has a military address. Please allow plenty of time for your package to arrive. It will take at least a week and can take up to 6 weeks for delivery to a military address. There is very limited tracking available for shipments to military addresses. Our experience has been that packages shipped to correct addresses are almost always received. But even a small error in an address can cause a package to be either delayed or lost for good. No refunds are available for shipments to Military Addresses such as an APO or a FPO.

Same Day Hand Deliveries
An attempt will be made to make the delivery on the date specified; however, if the recipient is unable to accept delivery the driver will reschedule until the delivery can be made. In the cases of wine and champagne baskets a signature of an adult is required. The order can not be canceled after it has been placed even it is has to be delivered on another day. If an incorrect address is provided a 2nd delivery fee will be charged. Should the recipient refuse to accept delivery due to the perishable nature of these gifts, the item will be donated to a near by hospital. The customer will still be responsible for all charges. Please note that we can not provide specific times for hand deliveries

International Tariffs, Taxes, Brokerage Fees and Other Charges
Shipping prices do not include possible tariffs, brokerage fees and other related charges that countries sometimes charge when making a delivery. These additional charges are the responsibility of the receiver. We have found that there is no way to predict whether there will be an additional charge and if so what it would be.
