Why doesn't the shopping cart work?


Supported Browsers for Shopping Online

Due to recent breaches most websites such as ours that take credit cards online have upgraded our security significantly. This means that since some of the older browsers do not conform to recent Web security standards, we cannot fully support all functions of the storefront for customers using these older web browsers. This is especially true of older versions of some web browsers, especially Microsoft Internet Explorer because they do not correctly handle some standardized types of HTML security required to insure privacy of your credit card data during transmission. Here are the browser we currently support:
  • Firefox 13 or newer
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or newer (note IE is not supported on Windows XP machines)
  • Google Chrome
  • Safari 3.0 or newer (Mac OS only)

Have You Entered Multiple Dashes or Other Unusual Characters in A Text Box or Field?

Sure it sounds crazy but here's the deal. Browser interpret one dash (-) as a dash but when you enter two (--) some browsers assume that you are entering programing code and are trying to tell it to do something. The same is true of other non alpha characters. In some cases even one character might cause a picky browser to freak. So say for example that you want to add dot dot dot (...) to your custom sign the best thing to do is type dot dot dot and add a note to us in the designer notes section calling our attention to it. And keep in mind that we will send you an order email to proof so you can write us back with any notes about this kind of thing.

Cookies Must Be Enabled to Shop Online

If you are having problems using our Shopping Cart or checking out, your internet browser may not be set to accept "cookies". A Cookie is a small piece of code that allows our software to "remember" your order and add the items to the shopping cart.

You need to accept cookies from our website so that we can keep your shopping items in your Shopping Cart. To do this, you need to add our shopping cart as a trusted site. Each browser is a little different, so we provided information on how to accept cookies on a variety of browsers below. Steps for Enabling Cookies

Internet Explorer
1. On the top menu bar, click ‘Tools’ then ‘Internet Options…’
2. In the Internet Options dialog box, select the ‘Security’ tab at the top.
3. Click on the green circle with a check mark labeled ‘Trusted sites’ underneath.
4. Now you will be able to click on the button ‘Sites…’
5. Make sure "Require server verification" at the bottom is not checked.
6. In the box under ‘Add this Web site to the zone: ’ type and click ‘Add
7. Click ‘OK’ and then ‘OK

Mozilla Firefox
1. On the menu at the top, Select ‘Tools’ then 'Options’.
2. Click the ‘Privacy’ panel and select the ‘Cookies’ tab.
3. Click the ‘Exceptions’.
4. In the section ‘Address of web site:’ type
5. Click ‘Allow’
6. Click ‘Close’
