Web Ecommerce Assistant

Reports to:  General Manager
Location:     Sandpoint, Idaho

Overview: Learn the internet retail business from the ground up as a Web Ecommerce Assistant. You will gain experience in all aspects of running and maintaining an online retail store including website design and copywriting while offering outstanding service to our customers. This is a position that can lead to advancement as both you and the company grow. Must demonstrate ability to learn new software and concepts with attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Take customer phone orders
• Place orders with vendors and fulfillment centers
• Track shipping and update customer records
• Assist in new product selection
• Enter records in Excel spreadsheets & QuickBooks
• Minor text editing
• Post new merchandise to the website
• Inventory management
• Internet marketing activities
• Assist in other activities as requested

You will receive training in the following:

• Dreamweaver (html)
• Photoshop
• QuickBooks
• Volusion (Hosted Shopping Cart)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Database
• Other specialized programming
• Web design and copywriting

Qualifications:

• Must be computer proficient including the ability to get around in MS Windows and online
• Strong typing/keyboarding skills required
• Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel software
• Excellent spelling and grammatical skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to deadlines
• Friendly phone personality
• Customer service-orientation
• Self-starter who takes initiative
• Previous web experience or technical background a definite plus

This entry level position is a full-time position. Hourly rate commiserate with experience. Will consider part-time hours for the right candidate.
