A new measure of time! Decorate your contemporary kitchen with a colorful, wall clock made with kitchen measuring spoons. The blue spoons contain white numbers are mounted behind black vinyl on clear round plexi-glass with floating, blue time dots. The clock has a 3 dimensional effect. Its powered by a precise, Quartz time component with white metal hands and a rotating, red second hand. The clock is designed and signed by Steven Shaver, artist and founder of inPARTicular. Includes a certificate of authenticity and 1 AA battery.

Background:
Steven Shaver, artist and founder of his company, inPARTicular, creates unique, handmade gifts and home furnishings made from new and recycled auto, building, computer, kitchen and radio parts. Steven Shaver didn't start his career in art. He discovered his passion for design and creativity after graduating from San Diego State University with a B.A. International Business. Many years later, a trip to an automotive wrecking yard sent Steven Shaver down the path of design. I stumbled upon some auto parts with amazing design. I took a trunk load home and transformed the parts into clocks, lamps and tables. This was the beginning of inPARTicular and my mission to create functional art made from everyday parts.The products have been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, Chicago Tribune, Detroit Daily News, The Hollywood Reporter and Automobile Magazine and other publications. Today Steven Shaver lives and works in San Jose, California with his wife, Ana.

Technique:
Both new and recycled parts and materials are combined with a new form and function. Each product is handmade and assembled by the artist, Steven Shaver. Many of the recycled parts go through a process of cleaning and sanding by hand and then professionally nickel-plated. Afterwards, these parts are hand polished to bring out best the shine.
