Evening Shade features a wonderful pendant of carved turquoise with loads of dark matrix. Sparkling seed beads embellish the pendant and provide rich color contrast. The necklace is made of graduated Jet Beads, small Onyx Beads, New Jade, and Turquoise Disks. The handcrafted Evening Shade pendant is 16 inches long with a 1.5 inch extender for a perfect fit. This is a one-of-a-kind Designer Necklace. You will get second looks whenever you wear this piece. Matching earrings are available for $45. Order the set and create a family heirloom for generations to come.

Background:
Marianne has been designing jewelry, beading and working sculptured clay beads for over 10 years. She is primarily self-taught but has spent time learning from local artists willing to share their techniques. Her work has been sold at the Tucson Museum of Art gift shop as well as in galleries in California and Arizona. Many of her pieces are in private collections across the country. A graduate of the University of Arizona, she lives and works in Tucson, Arizona. When not working on jewelry, Marianne can be found training and showing her Shetland Sheepdogs in Herding, Agility and Obedience competitions.

Artist Statement:
"Marianne enjoys being able to pursue things which interest her. Thus, her work is one-of-a-kind in nature and geared to the person who is interested in the unique, hand crafted pieces of wearable art that she creates. Her inspiration comes from many sources; animals, plants, mountains, rocks and interesting people all trigger emotions and contribute elements to her work. Even though we live in an ever more technical society there will always be those who appreciate and enjoy quality, creative arts and crafts products. This is a natural expression of us as a society and of humankind as a whole. We should rejoice in our diversity and expand our horizons. What better way to do this than through individual artistic endeavors. "
