This little beaded bracelet features adult and baby penguins merrily marching along in the traditional line. Silvery, blue-grey delica beads provide the background as the procession of black, white and red adults and grey and white youngsters moves along. A decorative clasp of onyx and bamboo coral finish off this interesting piece.

Background:
Marianne has been designing jewelry, beading and working sculptured clay beads for over 10 years. She is primarily self-taught but has spent time learning from local artists willing to share their techniques. Her work has been sold at the Tucson Museum of Art gift shop as well as in galleries in California and Arizona. Many of her pieces are in private collections across the country. A graduate of the University of Arizona, she lives and works in Tucson, Arizona. When not working on jewelry, Marianne can be found training and showing her Shetland Sheepdogs in Herding, Agility and Obedience competitions.

Artist Statement:
"Marianne enjoys being able to pursue things which interest her. Thus, her work is one-of-a-kind in nature and geared to the person who is interested in the unique, hand crafted pieces of wearable art that she creates. Her inspiration comes from many sources; animals, plants, mountains, rocks and interesting people all trigger emotions and contribute elements to her work. Even though we live in an ever more technical society there will always be those who appreciate and enjoy quality, creative arts and crafts products. This is a natural expression of us as a society and of humankind as a whole. We should rejoice in our diversity and expand our horizons. What better way to do this than through individual artistic endeavors. "

These are eye catching pieces utilizing unique combinations of semi-precious gemstones, pearls, sterling silver, gold-filled elements, natural stone, seed beads, fibers and individually drawn or hand sculpted polymer clay beads and figures.
